I moved to Florida in the 1980’s, and quickly discovered that gardening in Florida is unlike anything that I had done before.  The planting dates are different, the soil was sand with no nutrients, and bugs were larger and more numerous than I had ever encountered.

I started this blog in hopes that it will help a newcomer have a fast reference guide and a successful garden.
